Soy candle in a ceramic bowl – Hoppipolla series

This hand-poured soy candle comes in a small, handmade ceramic bowl. Once the candle has been thoroughly enjoyed, the small bowl can be used for serving hot drinks, like coffee, tea, matcha but you can use it to serve food, like sauces, a handful of berries, or nuts as well. Some people treat it as a tealight holder.

It is part of a larger set of pieces, a series I call Hoppipolla. Hoppipolla is an Icelandic word meaning “jumping into puddles”. It is a metaphor of the series which was created as a result of mixing decorating techniques, using many different colours at the same time. We do sometimes feel as we were kids – playing, having fun, and not following any rules.
