Boat plate – Glacier series

• This long handmade plate is perfect as a piece of decoration or can be used to serve food and meals such as party snacks, vegetable chips, pickles, seasonal fruit etc. It may function as a desk organizer as well.

It is part of a larger set of pieces, a series I call Glacier. This series was inspired by my travels through South Iceland of New Zealand. The unique scenery with its rocks, glaciers and glacial lakes was covered in snow and ice. I tried to express the mood of the landscape by giving this series similar black, blue and earthy colours. The pictures reveal Tasman Glacier – which is the largest glacier in NZ.
