Large bowl – Frozen series

This large ceramic bowl is perfect as a piece of decoration or can be used to serve fruit, vegetables, salads, pasta etc.

It is part of a larger set of pieces, a series I call Frozen. This series was inspired by my travels through Iceland. The unique scenery with its volcanic rocks, glaciers and glacial lakes was covered in snow and ice. I tried to express my melancholic mood at the time by giving this series similar white, blue and earthy colours. The ice of the scenery is expressed by crushed pieces of glass.

The bowl was glazed with handmade brush, created from locally found plants.
