Large oval platter- Redwoods series

This extra-large platter plate can be used as a table decoration or to serve food.

It is part of a larger set of pieces, a series I call Redwoods. This series was inspired by my travels through New Zealand in October 2019. The active volcanoes, deep fiords, high snowy mountains, ancient native forests, glaciers close to the beach, active geothermal areas, deep glowworm caves, and spectacular sandy beaches (black, white, and golden) – it’s all there. No wonder, New Zealand is said to be geologically and geographically the most diverse country on earth.
The above piece is my expression of Rotorua Redwoods forest.
