Medium deep plate – Cherry Blossom series

This handmade plate is perfect as a piece of decoration or can be used to serve food – it works well as a pasta plate or for serving cottage cheese and spread for sandwiches. It is part of a larger set of pieces, a series I call Cherry Blossom. My travels to Japan during the cherry blossom season sakura are at the basis of this series. The season stands for the beginning of spring and the flowers symbolise love and good luck. The different shades of pink in these pieces reflect my impressions of this beautiful phenomenon.
