Saucer – Hoppipolla series

This handmade ceramic saucer can be used as a dessert plate for serving cookie, sweet bun or any other sweets that goes with hot drink in your favourite mug.

It is part of a larger set of pieces, a series I call Hoppipolla. Hoppipolla is an Icelandic word meaning “jumping into puddles”. It is a metaphor of the series which was created as a result of mixing decorating techniques, using many different colours at the same time. We do sometimes feel as we were kids – playing, having fun, and not following any rules.
